Minimum Invasive Dentistry with DSD in a trauma case.

Minimum invasive dentistry by using the Digital Smile Design, (DSD ) concept even in a traumatic case. The concept of minimum invasive promotes tooth-conserving dentistry. We try to stick to the minimum invasive dentistry concept so that the teeth restored with these methods are less likely need crowns, root canal treatment therapy, and potential extraction. When applying minimum invasive dentistry concept a more conservative restoration of tooth structure is possible that reflects the design of the natural tooth. In economic sense minimum invasive using composite dental materials have tremendous benefit to the patients. Treatments are often less expensive and restorations are often reparable. Patients are more likely to be satisfied with the idea of “less is more,” preserving what nature has provided.
Proper treatment begins with a thorough diagnosis in any case including an accident involving front teeth. A knowledge in DSD is important to carry out minimum invasive dentistry. Once we master this DSD techniques, we can deliver a higher level of care at a lower cost to the patients. As dentists, we want to provide the best possible care to our patients. By mastering proper diagnostic and treatment protocols to preserve tooth structure, we are giving patients the best chance to maintain their dentitions in optimal health, thus enhancing their overall quality of life and well-being. —– Dr. Kamsiah , Dr. Sonia
