This bridge failed because the teeth holding it had undermine caries . It difficult time, this patient wanted to remove his teeth but we told him that we could try this technique to salvage the bridge .
Fixed bridges are usually cemented to the patient’s abutment teeth, the original cement leaked but the bridge was not broken. Both had root canal treatment but the stumps decayed.
Usually in cases like this , new abutments will be constructed because the old bridge can fit onto it. However using a similar technique shown at our link before we tried using on multiple teeth .
Patient agreed and happy with the outcome.
